Samuel Milton ADAMS, 87, of 180 1/2 Buckingham St, died this morning at the Hillcrest Rest Home following an extended illness. Born in Mansfield 4 May 1865, the son of Daniel and Margaret (DANIELS) ADAMS, he lived his entire life in this area. Mr ADAMS was a retired employe of the Westinghouse plant. He was a member of the Mayflower Congregational church, where he served as custodian. He also was a member of the Modern Woodman of America. Surviving are his wife, Cora SMITH ADAMS, with whom he celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on Feb 6; three sons, Harry E and Albert L ADAMS of Mansfield and Clarence M ADAMS of Carsonville, MI; two daughters, Mrs LJ THEM of Mansfield and Mrs Hazel E ELLER of Hazel Park, MI; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr ADAMS was the last member of his family. Funeral services will be held at the JH Finefrock and Sons Funeral home at 1:30 pm Monday in charge of his pastor, Rev AF Lindbeck, with burial in the Mansfield cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 pm Saturday.
